Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Lily House Studio collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit lilyhousestudio.com, correspond with the studio, subscribe to a Lily House Studio publication, or otherwise interact with us online.
1. Who we are
Lily House Studio (“Lily House Studio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an independent media studio based in Los Angeles, California. This Privacy Policy applies to lilyhousestudio.com and Lily House Studio online forms, publications, and related digital experiences that link to this Policy (collectively, the “Services”).
2. Information we collect
We collect personal information you choose to provide and limited technical information generated when you use our Services.
Information you provide directly
- Newsletter and report signups: such as your first name, email address, consent status, signup source, and related subscription information.
- Correspondence and inquiries: such as your name, email address, inquiry type, company or professional information when provided, and the contents of your message.
- Commercial or partnership inquiries: such as your name, work email, company, title or role, category of interest, commercial intent, and information you provide about what you are exploring.
Information collected automatically
Our website, hosting providers, form providers, and email-service providers may automatically receive limited technical information such as IP address, browser or device type, referring page, pages visited, timestamps, and similar diagnostic or usage information. The exact information available may depend on the service or feature being used.
3. How we use information
We may use personal information to:
- provide the report, newsletter, resource, or communication you requested;
- operate Visions and other Lily House Studio publications;
- respond to correspondence, press, speaking, collaboration, partnership, and general inquiries;
- evaluate and manage legitimate commercial or partnership opportunities;
- maintain subscriber, contact, company, and relationship records;
- understand how our Services are used and improve their reliability, content, and user experience;
- protect the security and integrity of our systems; and
- comply with legal obligations or enforce our rights.
We do not treat a commercial inquiry as consent to receive a recurring newsletter. If you subscribe to Visions or another Lily House Studio publication, that subscription is handled as a separate consent relationship.
4. Email and publication communications
If you subscribe to Visions, request a Market Shift Report through a subscription form, or otherwise expressly join one of our publications, we may send you the publication and related subscriber communications described at signup.
You can unsubscribe from recurring marketing or publication emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in those emails. Unsubscribing from a publication does not necessarily prevent us from sending transactional, administrative, or direct correspondence that is reasonably necessary to respond to a request or manage an existing business relationship.
5. How we disclose information
We may disclose personal information to service providers that help us operate the Services, process forms, deliver email, maintain business records, host content, or support our technology. Depending on the interaction, these providers may include:
- Beehiiv, for newsletter subscriptions, subscriber records, publication delivery, and related email automation;
- Attio, for commercial contact, company, relationship, and deal-management records;
- Netlify or other website infrastructure providers, for website hosting and form processing where used; and
- other professional or technical service providers that support our operations.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, in connection with a business reorganization or transfer, or with your direction or consent.
We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. As of the effective date of this Policy, Lily House Studio does not use personal information collected through the Services for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Our Services and the third-party services embedded in them may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary to operate forms, remember preferences, protect security, or understand basic service performance. Lily House Studio does not currently use the Services to run cross-context behavioral advertising.
Third-party services used on or embedded in the Services may receive information directly from your browser and may collect information about your activity over time or across websites in accordance with their own privacy policies and technical settings. We do not control the independent privacy practices of those third parties.
Browser settings may allow you to block or delete cookies. Doing so may affect the operation of some forms or embedded services.
7. Do Not Track and privacy preference signals
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is no single, universally adopted technical standard for legacy Do Not Track signals, our Services do not currently respond to those signals in a uniform way.
Where applicable law requires recognition of a legally valid opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, we will honor that signal for processing activities to which the requirement applies. As of the effective date of this Policy, Lily House Studio does not sell personal information or use personal information collected through the Services for cross-context behavioral advertising.
8. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to maintain appropriate business and subscriber records, to comply with legal obligations, to resolve disputes, or to protect our rights. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of record and the nature of the relationship.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your choices and privacy requests
You may unsubscribe from recurring publication emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email.
You may also contact us to ask about personal information we maintain about you, request a correction or deletion, or raise a privacy question. Where applicable law grants additional rights, we will process qualifying requests as required by that law.
To submit a privacy request, visit our Correspondence page, choose General Inquiries, and begin your message with Privacy Request. Please provide enough information for us to understand and appropriately respond to the request. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.
11. California privacy disclosures
California law requires certain commercial websites and online services that collect personally identifiable information from California consumers to post a privacy policy describing their practices. This Policy is intended to provide that notice for Lily House Studio’s Services.
If Lily House Studio becomes subject to additional California privacy-law requirements based on its activities or applicable legal thresholds, we will update this Policy and provide any additional notices, request methods, or opt-out mechanisms required by law.
12. Children’s privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through our website or publication signup forms. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us through the Correspondence page.
13. Third-party links
Our Services may link to websites, social platforms, publications, or services operated by third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and Lily House Studio is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our Services, vendors, or legal obligations change. When we make changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, when appropriate, provide additional notice.
15. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, please use the Lily House Studio Correspondence page and identify your message as a Privacy Request.
